Welcome

Prometheus Fund is an investment fund created to offer sophisticated investors a vehicle through which they may invest in a portfolio of under-valued securities. Prometheus Fund's investment process is driven by fundamental research and the goal is to provide superior performance while always maintaining primary focus on minimizing risk.

About

Inception

Prometheus Fund LLC was formed by investment manager Mark Winick in July 2005.

Leadership

Prior to the formation of Prometheus Fund, Mr. Winick was a financial consultant with Smith Barney, a division of Citigroup Global Markets, Inc., which he joined in 1994. At the time of his departure from Smith Barney, Mr. Winick was overseeing approximately $40M in customer assets.

Mr. Winick graduated UCLA Magna Cum Laude in 1993 from the College of Honors, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Objective

Prometheus Fund LLC. (the "Fund") seeks to achieve superior long-term performance by investing in companies that are financially strong and conservatively managed at prices substantially below the Investment Manager's estimate of their actual value.

Process

Research

To identify potentially attractive investment opportunities, the Fund relies upon fundamental research at both the industry and company-specific level. The Fund's investment decisions are based on this proprietary analysis.

Valuation

The Investment Manager believes the key to successful value investing is determining the actual value (intrinsic value) of a company. Intrinsic value is determined using a number of tools: earnings, cash flow, free cash flow, book value and sales are a few examples. Cash and other corporate assets as well as the competitive environment can also be important factors.

Conviction

The Investment Manager believes the greatest investment returns are generated by those investment ideas where conviction levels are the highest. As such, when fully invested the Fund's portfolio will typically include the securities of between 10 and 20 companies.

Newsletters

"Every quarter I attempt to convey what I see, what I am doing, and why. While I cannot control how the markets will treat our investments over short periods of time, I can attempt to make certain that the reasons behind my decisions are clearly understood. My hope is that a better understanding will make it easier to ignore the constant 'noise' to better allow us to concentrate on what is important."
